Lowenberg Corporation was founded in 1969 by William J. Lowenberg. As a holocaust survivor, Bill overcame great challenges to start Lowenberg Corporation. He was liberated by the United States Army in 1945 and immigrated to United States in 1949, where he settled in San Francisco and began working in the real estate industry. He later started Lowenberg Corporation and created partnerships to acquire industrial real estate throughout California.

Bill grew the business over many years working alongside his daughter, Susan Lowenberg, who has led the company as its President since his passing in 2011. The company currently owns and manages 50 properties, primarily located in Northern California, made up of approximately 3.5 million square feet.
